Ismail Erturk delivered a inspiring lecture this July in Japan on global macro-economic trends and their possible impact on Abenomics, one of the major economic phenomenon in the country. With BRIC economies entering into a new period of uncertainty, tapering in the U.S., Chinese banking starting to show high levels of debt and the EU and the U.K. showing promising signs of recovery, how likely is Abenomics likely to succeed? Ismail discussed this in detail while commenting on the Japanese struggle for economic revival on the whole. The event attracted 50 alumni and students registered at which we met Mr Toda, the first MBS FT MBA alumnus (1967).
